Biography
Mariko has worked in healthcare for 19 years, including pediatrics, post-partum, diabetes, hematology, oncology, and research. She enjoyed 9 years of pediatric hematology/oncology at the National Institutes of Health. Recently she spent 3 years coordinating diabetes type 1 and 2 research, including immunotherapy clinical trials. She is originally from Maryland and visits her family in Maryland and Hawaii as much as she can. She loves to paint and go on outdoor adventures with her son, husband, and dog Mochi.
