Biography
Molly Roy, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist at the Gynecologic Cancer Institute of Chicago. A highly trained expert in her field, Dr. Roy provides comprehensive gynecologic cancer care through complex gynecologic surgery, systemic therapies including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other biologic therapies, and supportive care focusing on quality of life during cancer treatment. Dr. Roy believes in a wholistic team-based approach to cancer care where well-informed shared decision making with the patient is at the core. She recognizes each individual’s cancer journey is unique, and personalizes the care delivered accordingly.
Dr. Roy is passionate about the advancement of cancer care. During her fellowship in gynecologic oncology, she participated in a design and management of cancer clinical trials course, as well as conducted several research projects addressing barriers to care in cervical cancer, surgical management of aggressive uterine cancers, and employing new technologies for drug development in gynecologic cancers.
Outside of her work passions, Dr. Roy is an enthusiast of the performing arts, with a particular interest in classical, jazz, and house music. She also enjoys learning other cultures through traveling the world, or a good documentary when travel is not possible.
